Prim Hearts

Prim Hearts is a blog about primitive doll making and what I learn as I make each new doll.

Name:
Location: California, United States

I own a Watkins home business and use the products to improve the lives of my family and myself. I also make mosaic birdhouses, mirrors, and plaques and signs. My newest passion is making prim dolls for doll collections. Each doll is hand made from muslin cloth and then outfitted with hand made clothes. Items are added to accent each doll. No two dolls look exactly alike and each has its own special name.

Introducing Emma

Emma is my newest doll. She is dressed in her sleeping gown with bloomers to match. Emma has her favorite little baby doll with matching gown. Emma's nitie is made of pink and white flannel with rows of tiny pink roses. Her bloomers are made of the same fabric. Her gown has a pink ribbon bow at the neck and on each sleeve. She has floss hair, button eyes, and a stitched mouth, nose and eyebrows. Her cheeks are blushed. Her dollie has floss hair, tiny beads for eyes, and a stitched face. Emma would like to be invited to your next pajama party.
